Ryde Inshore Rescue – the seaside town’s voluntary life-saving service – are looking to recruit for all roles including boat crew, shore crew, launchers, fundraisers and headquarters staff.
The team conduct training on a Monday night at 19:00 and are down on station each Sunday for general watch duties from 10:00 until 14:00.
The volunteers are ready to respond to any incident 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and carry a pager. At request of Solent Coastguard the lifeboat is launched to aid those in distress.
