Homes and businesses in Northwood and some parts of Cowes are having issues with their water supply this afternoon (Sunday).
Some addresses in the area are reporting issues with no supply whilst others are having problems with water pressure.
Addresses on roads like Park Road, Baring Road, Newport Road, Staplers Road and Godric Road are just some of those affected.
It is believed that a burst water main in Newport is the reason for the outage.
Outages were first reported as long ago as 15:00, with Southern Water working on the issue since shortly after 13:00.
Southern Water have been informed and have confirmed that a team is on site trying to fix the issue – a burst mains pipe on Calbourne Road.
UPDATE @ 16:36 – Island Echo understands that some properties in East Cowes, Wootton and Newport are also facing issues now.
UPDATE @ 17:17 – Southern Water is continuing to work on the problem, with it hoped water can be restored as soon as possible.
UPDATE @ 19:06 – It is estimated that water supplies should be back to normal within the next hour.

We lost water yesterday lunchtime until 11.45pm. Couldn’t get any info from Southern water. No-one could find any news until teatime and then it was sketchy. In a world of constant news no-one had a clue.
Southern water should stop giving out high dividends to their sharehoders ,stop dumping raw sewage into our seas and river, AND FIX THEIR INFRASTRUCTURE , this means renewing all old water main pipe
Going back to no water yesterday afternoon ,,,, my father in law is 90 suffer badly with usual older age things ,carers going in 4 times a day no water seriously caused problem here , surely there’s a priority list for this sort of thing from southern water to supply bottled water .
You need to register him on the priority vulnerable list although we are on the list due to medical issues and were not even supplied with bottled water.
