The roar of powerboats returned to the Solent yesterday (Sunday) as a total of 16 crews battled it out to take the victory in the classic Cowes-Torquay-Cowes powerboat race.
For 2014 the start line returned to the Cowes area allowing spectators at Egypt Point to see all the action as the boats set off on the first leg of the race at around 09:00.
Taking victory yesterday when the crews returned to Cowes was the Vector Martini crew followed by Smokin’ Aces in second and Team Barwood in third.
