The New Inn in Shalfleet is set to reopen its doors later this month, around 9 months after financial pressures forced the village pub to close.
The pub closed on Sunday (4th January), when the team running the venue said the existing business model was no longer financially sustainable.
At the time, it was unclear what the future would hold for The New Inn, which is part of the Stonegate Group.
Now, it has been confirmed that the pub will welcome customers back in late September.
Those behind the reopening say good food, drinks and company will be at the heart of the pub, with the aim of creating a welcoming place for Shalfleet and the wider community.
There will also be a focus on using local suppliers wherever possible and celebrating produce from across the Isle of Wight.
The previous team, The Goldstones, had taken on The New Inn in July 2024 and invested significant time, energy and money into the venue.
However, when announcing the closure in January, they said that despite loyal support from customers, the numbers did not stack up in a way that allowed them to operate the pub sustainably under the arrangements at the time.
Those behind the reopening have said:
