Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club welcomed visiting lady golfers to their Ladies’ Invitation day on Tuesday (15th September), with 18 members inviting guests to join them for an Am-Am competition followed by afternoon tea.
Taking first prize were Jacky Cook, Shelagh Merrifield (Westridge), Caroline Warne and Jane Macrae (Alresford) with 89 points.
Runners-up were Ruth Graves, Rose Green (Ryde), Bev Lowrie and Penny Maclean (Newport) with 87 points.
The nearest the pin prizes went to Helen Whittaker (guest) and Gail Boyer (member).
A raffle was held in support of the Applegate Centre for Breast Cancer Care at St Mary’s Hospital, Newport, raising £298.
