A nail salon on the Isle of Wight has announced its sudden closure with immediate effect, leaving customers shocked.
First Nails, based in Cowes, informed customers via WhatsApp earlier this week saying that the business had ceased trading with immediate effect and apologised for the short notice, saying they understood the news may be disappointing to customers.
In the message sent to clients, the salon said the decision had been “very difficult and unexpected” and referred to “urgent and unavoidable reasons” behind it.
The shop – which held it’s grand opening in December 2024 – was located next door to the Red Jet terminal.
No news has been communicated on the First Nails Facebook page, however the page suggests the premises is ‘permanently closed’.

A massive thank you goes out to Mr Richard Wrigerley Quigerly Rach from accounts and never here Kier small businesses being put to the sword by Labour. The party for the shirkers not the workers. Apparently asking who they can tax more so they can pay out more in benefits at every opportunity. Labour out asap general election now the clock is ticking.
And a massive congratulations done to all those dips@*#s who believed in them & voted them in ….
The globalists plan is to finish off small businesses.
It’s working.
Sadly another one bites the dust.
Odd thing to say when you were praising Comrade Corbyn and his Socialist Utopian policies the other day…
You are getting J.C wrong
Bless you
Sad for the staff and management but surely customers can get all the nails they need from Hurst or any reputable builders merchants in the vicinity?
It’s a nail salon, not a shop that sells nails for a wall. It says it in the post at the top, ‘nail salon’ & the image of the building has fingers with nails on the window lol
That’s a good one, they won’t get “screwed” with the prices
either.
