A crash involving 3 vehicles is causing minor delays on a busy road in Shanklin this afternoon (Monday).
The incident, which occurred just before 16:30, has taken place on Sandown Road, near to Wilton’s Garage.
A Citroen C2 has gone into the rear of a Peugeot 206, which has gone into the rear of a Citroen DS3.
No one appears to have been injured with all occupants out of their vehicles.
Police are directing traffic past the scene whilst recovery is arranged.

Obviously not concentrating & too close to each other or obsessed by their phones.
More bad driving on the iow
All French vehicles.
Maybe the French Connection
Driving too close and not concentrating. Police terminology, Driving without due care and attention.
Lots of that goes on over here!!!
Anyone else remember when we used to be able to drive past stationary vehicles without needing the police to help us? It’s a wonder Island Roads didn’t didn’t set up temporary traffic lights as they seem to do at every other opportunity.
On a serious note though, if no-one was injured, I wonder why the police were involved? Surely the vehicles could be moved to the side of the road by the drivers? Perhaps the officers were at a bit of a loose end and looking for something to do.
Because generally speaking the first thing a passer by does when they see an accident is dial 999
Just seen a car going past Quar at 45, stuck on the bumper of the car in front. Something similar going on here perhaps. Island drivers don’t seem to understand about safe distances and reaction times.
