A male visiting the Isle of Wight is being dealt with by immigration enforcement after a vehicle stop in Wootton led to his arrest on suspicion of an immigration offence.
At approximately 15:40 this afternoon (Wednesday), several officers descended upon the busy road where they initiated the proactive stop of a vehicle, namely a silver BMW.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that a 29-year-old male from Slough in Berkshire was arrested at the roadside on suspicion of immigration offences.
The male has now been passed over and is being dealt with by Immigration Enforcement.
