The Isle of Wight’s Counting Officer, Chris Matthews, has this morning (Wednesday) issued a message for those who have cast a postal vote ahead of tomorrow’s EU Referendum. If you’ve sent in your postal vote and the Postal Voting Statement (PVS) wasn’t included, then your vote will not count.
The PVS arrived with ballot papers, so Islanders are being urged to check around the house and if you find it; fill in your date of birth, your signature and drop it off at County Hall ASAP. You should mark it for the attention of ‘The Counting Officer, PVS included’.
You may also drop your completed PVS at your local polling station tomorrow, as the Isle of Wight Council will still be able to match it to your postal ballot paper.
