This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

• Euticus Nyambura, 26, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton – admitted drink-driving in School Road, Godshill, after being found with 70 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £346, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 36 months
• Nathan Martin, 29, of High Street, Bembridge – admitted drink-driving in Long Lane, Newport, after being found with 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £415, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £166 surcharge, and banned from driving for 20 months. The ban can be reduced by 20 weeks if a drink-drive rehabilitation course is completed.
• Kaine Cooper, 28, of Griffin Manor Way, London – admitted a series of shop thefts from Tesco in Wootton between October and November 2025 involving alcohol and food. He was ordered to pay compensation totalling £165.05.
• Graham Lomax, 47, of Star Street, Ryde – admitted sending grossly offensive text messages to a man in Shanklin. He was given a community order with 60 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Caleb Cooper, 26, of Whitepit Lane, Newport – admitted careless driving in St Johns Road, Ryde. He was fined £200, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £80 surcharge, and had nine penalty points added to his licence.
• Bradley Dyer, 26, of Freshwater – admitted possessing cocaine in Newport. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge, and the cocaine was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
• Michelle Jones, 53, of High Street, Ventnor – admitted driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and driving without an MOT in Wheeler Way, Shanklin. She was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge, and banned from driving for a further three months.
• Daniel Dickons, 39, of Avenue Road, Sandown – admitted stealing two bottles of wine worth £11.90 from the Co-op in Sandown. He was fined £40, ordered to pay £85 costs and £11.90 compensation.
• Levi Bellamy, 27, of Fort Street, Sandown – admitted careless driving, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, driving without insurance and failing to stop for police in Newport. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for four months.
• Daniel Frampton, 20, of York Avenue, East Cowes – admitted drink-driving in Maple Drive, Newport, after being found with 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £241, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £96 surcharge, and banned from driving for 18 months. The ban can be reduced by 18 weeks if a drink-drive rehabilitation course is completed.
• Xuka Tran, 32, of Silver Birch Drive, Newport – admitted drink-driving in Birch Gardens, Newport, after being found with 56 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £346, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £138 surcharge, and banned from driving for 15 months. The ban can be reduced by 15 weeks if a drink-drive rehabilitation course is completed.
