Islander Keegan Brown has progressed to the quarter finals of the Grand Slam of Darts after beating five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld in Wolverhampton last night (Wednesday).
The 22-year-old star from Newport ended on a show-stopper with a 122 checkout, closing on a bull to take the 10 legs to 7 victory over ‘Barney’ in the second round of the Grand Slam. The much-supported win now sees the World Junior Champion progress to the quarter finals to take on Dave Chisnall.
Last night’s victory is the second time this week that Keegan, who works in Blood Science at St Mary’s Hospital, has beat a former world champion after taking victory on Sunday against Adrian Lewis.
