Rhee Ki Ha is the first man ever to be promoted to 9th degree Black Belt by the founder of Tae Kwon-Do and is also the man who brought Tae Kwon-Do to the United Kingdom in 1967.
Peter Scotcher, Chief Instructor at the Island’s Tae Kwon-Do club said:
“It was a great honour for all who attended and amazing to train with a true martial arts ‘living legend’. The experience and history he shared with us was inspiring and helped to further improve our understanding and techniques”.
The Isle of Wight club is also travelling to Coventry this weekend to attend a seminar with Martial Artist and Youtube star Aaron Gassar, better know as the ‘Ginger Ninja Trickster’, who is also on the front cover of this months issue of Martial Arts Illustrated. The members who are attending will be learning and practising the high energy and skill level techniques that have made him famous with video hits in the millions.
The club is still adding classes on the Island and some moving to larger venues. More details can be found on the club website at www.iowtkd.com.
