An Isle of Wight business, which normally specialises in security, has now been granted official authorisation to provide a ‘Test To Release’ service for those conducting essential travel during the coronavirus pandemic.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Blueline Security began operating a private coronavirus testing service in December thanks to a partnership with Medical Solutions GB. The service meant that Islanders could get an all-important COVID-19 test without displaying symptoms, with results returned in as little as 15 minutes.
The Blueline team became fully trained to carry out these tests, with options for them to travel to an individual’s place of work or local residence.
In a further expansion of its testing services, the firm can now offer anyone who is required to travel the necessary testing for the return to the UK, including both of the Government-enforced day 2 and 8 testing – with the option for a day 5 test to release scheme.
This scheme means that, if a negative result is achieved, an individual can be released from their otherwise compulsory 10 day isolation period.
Customised packages are available should a person require all of the post-travel tests to be carried out. You can find more information on Blue Line Security’s testing services on their Facebook page.

How absolutely awful. Door bouncers now making decisions on people’s freedoms. What the hell???
Great more wanna be police trying to exert their authority.
Correction. Professional security company with experienced door supervisors, close protection officers and medically trained staff working under stringent government policy with the authorisation to do so.
Well done, a company with initiative.
From some of these comments I take it that they don’t have the intelligence to have to travel for work.
