The Food Standards Agency raises further concerns of eggs containing salmonella in an increased number of stores across the Uk.
As of Island Echo’s previous article, precautionary advice is being issued to customers who have purchased a batch of the contaminated British Lion eggs.
The Food Standards Agency has extended the warning of eggs containing salmonella, as more infected eggs have been discovered in a wider range of supermarkets.
Islanders are told to check their eggs straight away, no matter what store they brought them from as it isn’t clear which stores contain infected eggs.
The affected eggs can be identified by the batch 1UK15270. You can find the egg batch number or best before date on the eggshell.
Customers are advised to cook the eggs thoroughly to eliminate salmonella and avoid the risk of illness.

Anything ‘else’, will be lucky to see Christmas as this rate.
So what ‘best before dates’ are affected ?
Its not the dates. Its the batch number you have to check .
