The funfair is to return to Ryde this week for the first time in a number of years.
Ryde Carnival Committee have convinced Matthews Funfair to stay on the Island a little longer this season to include the town’s week of carnival celebrations, which get underway today (Tuesday).
Traditionally the fair was always hosted at Simeon Street rec, however for its return the rides will be set up at Quay Street car park behind Superbowl.
The funfair will be open from 14:00 until late between Thursday 1st September and Sunday 4th September.
A spokesperson for Ryde Carnival said:
“What a great way to get in the carnival mood before the procession and to carry on the fun afterwards.
“Enjoy and let them know we want them back here again next year!”
