Isle of Wight Freemasons have donated more than £70,000 to support local charities across the Island.
At their annual Charity Presentation evening held on the 28th of May, Freemasons from 18 lodges donated over £70,000 to more than 60 charities, helping fund a wide range of community projects and services.
The evening highlighted the vital work being carried out by local charities and volunteers. Representatives from 23 charities attended the event and shared how the funding has, and will help, to support people and initiatives across the Isle of Wight.
Andy Croucher, Area Charity Steward, said:
“We are incredibly proud to support so many organisations who make a real difference in our communities. These charities provide invaluable services, and it is a privilege to help them continue their work.”
The event was attended by Deputy Lord Lieutenant James Attrill, the High Sheriff for the Isle of Wight Nigel Hartley MBE and Assistant Provincial Grand Master Adrian Cleightonhills
