Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service came to the aid of a family pet that became stuck in a septic tank this morning (Wednesday).
Crew from Green Watch at Newport Fire Station were called to a property in Bouldnor near Yarmouth when a lovable dog fell nearly 6ft down into a septic tank, which fortunately was empty at the time.
The dog was uninjured during the incident but came out a bit wet and smelly after firefighters worked together to raise him safely out of the pit.
A quick spray of the garden hose was required for the dog – and the same could be said for FF Butchers, whose firefighting kit came out somewhat dirtier than it began.
