Evlynn Harvey scored 7 as Wight Eagles U11s saw off Winchester Flyers.
WINCHESTER CITY FLYERS 1-8 WIGHT EAGLES U11s
The young Eagles travelled away for their 1st League fixture of their campaign and secured a fantastic win.
They started brightly, working the ball into space and gaps left open by Winchester.
The non-stop pair of Evlynn Harvey and Ruby Alexander made life hard for Winchester.
Evlynn scored an incredible 7 goals in the game, and Rubi Alexander topped off the afternoon with the final goal.

WIGHT EAGLES U13s 1-1 PACE YOUTH FC
The Eagles returned to the league after their cup win last weekend, welcoming Pace Youth to the Island for this game.
The 2 teams started very much on the same level, but it was Pace that had more of the ball, and the Eagle’s level of performance began to drop. The girls weren’t putting the performance in as they usually would, it was Pace that forced stand-in goalkeeper Schyler Jaspers to make saves early, but were kept at bay by the strong pairing of Poppy Downer and Faith Rimmer.
In the 28th minute, Pace broke through and collided with keeper Schyler Jaspers coming out to get her hands on the ball, resulting in a controversial penalty to see Pace take a 0-1 lead.
The 2nd half saw the tables turn and the Eagles come out strong, keeping Pace in their own half for much of the 1st 15 mins, having freshened up the team with substitutions.
The Island side started to create chances on the wings and had a few corners. 10 mins towards the end, Imogen Jones broke through the defence to calmly lay the ball across the box for Kelsie Ronan to slot home to earn a point.
After the game, manager Dan Verstraeten said:
This was a tough game for us. My players weren’t at the races today and we never came out to compete. Overall, we got a point and that’s better than none, but we must improve for our next game and work on the negatives.
