Older Islanders, their families and carers are invited to discover a wealth of advice and support at a free Independent Living Show later this month.
Right at Home Isle of Wight is hosting the Independent Living Show at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on Sunday 12th July, bringing together a wide range of organisations dedicated to helping people maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
Running from 10:00 until 15:00, the event will give visitors the chance to speak with local businesses, charities and experts offering guidance on areas including wellbeing, financial advice, pet care, food services, home safety and more.
The event aims to help older residents and their loved ones learn about the practical support available across the Isle of Wight, while providing an opportunity to ask questions and make valuable connections.
A spokesperson for Right at Home Isle of Wight said:
“Many people are unaware of the breadth of support available to help individuals remain independent and enjoy life at home.
“The Independent Living Show is a fantastic opportunity to bring these organisations together under one roof, helping families access information, ask questions and discover services that can make a real difference.”
The Independent Living Show is free to attend and is open to anyone interested in finding out more about independent living, future planning and community support services.
