katysextonKaty Sexton MBE, who was the first female British swimmer to win World Championship Gold at the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona, is set to expand her swim academy to include the Isle of Wight.

The Academy, set up in Havant in 2010, is now expanding to the Island and will initially be based at The Pines Leisure Club at Gurnard Pines Holiday Village near Cowes. The Academy here on the Island will be overseen by Melissa Hewison on a day to day basis and will start when the Schools return after the 2013 Christmas break.

The Katy Sexton Swim Academy follows the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) ‘Learn To Swim’ program, which is well structured and is nationally recognized. The Academy caters for children and adults of all ages and abilities with the aim to run a high level of tuition at a good price, but most of all making learning fun. As well as group classes it offers 1 to 1 sessions and 1 to 2 sessions for both children and adults.
