POLICE DOG AND HANDLER RETIRE FROM DUTY WITH HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY

2 members of Hampshire Constabulary team here on the Isle of Wight have retired over the weekend. 

PC Helen Lacey and PD Chaos worked their final shift for the force on Saturday.

The duo have been seen at many incidents over the years with PC Lacey dedicating some 22 years to the Police, and 10 years to the Army before that.

Prior to joining Hampshire Constabulary, PC Lacey served with Thames Valley Police and was featured on Series 5 and 6 of TV’s Road Wars with her-then sidekick, PD Bonnie.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary has said:

“Having spoken to her last night she is going to be a little out of sorts for a bit as she adjusts to civilian life, but will cope well kicking back on the sofa whilst having snuggles from princess Chaos.

“We wish them both a long and health retirement and thank you for all you have done during your time on the Island.”
