19-year-old Alan Kubacki has been slapped with 6 penalty points and a £120 fine after failing to identify the driver of a car involved in a pursuit out of Newport.
Kubacki, of Orchard Road in Shanklin, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court on 17th January charged with failing to provide information to identify the driver of a vehicle – a charge he pleaded guilty to before the bench.
Prosecutor Lauren McConnell detailed to the court how, on 1st October last year, a grey Audi A4 with 3 persons onboard was pursued out of Newport towards Merstone. The car was eventually blocked in by the pursuing officer, but there was no one in the driver’s seat when approached.
Kubacki, a provisional licence holder, failed to provide details of who was driving the vehicle to Police when requested – with his defence solicitor, Nick Muir, stating that he is ‘too scared’ to do so.
2 youths have been charged with the same offence and will appear before the Isle of Wight Youth Court in due course.
Magistrates handed the 19-year-old 6 penalty points, fined him £120 and ordered him to pay £85 costs with a £48 surcharge.
Might be a good idea if he went to Specsavers.
Is that all they got,if they won’t say who was driving, they should be treated as being the driver,& jailed.
The law is weak, maybe they should get a job in
Iceland.
I heard that is what the country is planning to do with
Numpty’s.
Rather than put them inside they will be working in Iceland
stores.
The clowns world is getting worse.
