KFC in Lake has run out of chicken this evening (Wednesday), bringing an early end to dinner plans for hungry Islanders.
Despite efforts to make remaining supplies last through the evening rush, the Newport Road branch has now exhausted its stock.
Earlier in the evening, Island Echo was told by those at the restaurant just 30 pieces of chicken remained – a situation that may have sparked memories of the infamous chicken shortage of 2018, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Customers arriving at the restaurant later in the evening have been met with the disappointing news that practically all of the menu is unavailable.
It is unclear whether KFC will close early tonight (Wednesday) as a result. It is unclear if the Newport branch has also been affected.
