The Isle of Wight’s only KFC fast food outlet is to re-open tomorrow following this week’s nationwide chicken shortage.
Over 900 UK outlets shut their doors over the weekend due to operational issues surrounding the start of a new delivery contract with DHL.
The situation has been an embarrassment for both companies but things are now back on track.
Dan Croad, Restaurant General Manager for KFC Newport, has said:
“We’re pleased to update that the Newport Isle of Wight store will reopen 11am on Thursday 22nd February. Our team look forward to welcoming guests back into the restaurant.”
