Newclose Cricket Ground have announced that their popular bar and cafe are to suddenly close next week.
The final day of trading from the eatery at the Blackwater based club will be Friday 28th October.
The club has cited the decision of the owners and trustees for the closure, with the decision leaving those who work there stuck in the middle unable to do anything other than to respect the decision of those in charge.
Despite the closure, large scale events such as weddings, parties and alike will still be held at the much-loved venue.
In a statement released on their Facebook page, the club has said:
“It is with a heavy heart and huge disappointment that I have to announce that the bar and cafe will be closing on Friday 28th October. This decision has been made by the owner and the trustees. We are understandably upset about this but we have to respect their decision.
“We would like to thank all our customers for supporting us, including our regulars who we have built friendships with over time, we would like to see as many of you as possible for our last week, we will be open between Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th for a final farewell.”

Sadly another island business Stumped,
Bowled over due to the pandemic!
Alas With rising utility costs this is going to be the norm ….
People are not eating out so often , and businesses are struggling with wage increases, food prices as well .
Sad but true .
Good luck to all the staff .
The world plan is to crash the economy and bring in a social credit system like
China.
That’s what happens when you aim a business at penny pinching Tories. That’ll teach you.
