A dolphin was found deceased on the beach at St Helens this afternoon (Monday).
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to the discovery to take important measurements and other basic information as part of their duties on behalf of Her Majesty.
They were alerted to the find after a member of the public spotted the mammal’s carcass near to the Old Church sometime before 12:50.
If you or someone else is in difficulty on the coast or at sea, or if you spot what you think may be unexploded ordnance, then dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Further safety information can be found at https://coastguardsafety.campaign.gov.uk/.

I was there before the report but I didn’t report it because it should of been left in peace
They have to be reported.
They have to be reported to find a cause of death to see if something that is preventable, or you risk the possibility of more of these amazing creatures dying
So sad
