The Island’s Lord-Lieutenant, Major General Martin White CB CBE JP received a salute from past, present and future members of the Armed Forces as they marched from Cornwall Slip to Superbowl, before returning to Eastern Gardens for an address by the Lord-Lieutenant.
Other dignitaries at the parade included the Island’s MP Andrew Turner, Chairman of the Isle of Wight Council Cllr Charles Chapman and the Island’s High Sheriff Robin Courage.
Security was notable as Her Majesty’s Royal Marine Band led the short parade before performing within the arena, which also hosted recruitment and information stands.
Vectis Corps of Drums, Bunker Girls and Saxophonist Marie Smith provided entertainment throughout the day.
