Adverse weather conditions affecting the Isle of Wight are causing cross-Solent travel disruption today (Saturday).
Hovertravel has suspended its service between Ryde and Southsea due to the strong winds currently battering the Solent.
An update is expected at 09:15, but there is no guarantee that services will resume at this time.
Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service in the meantime.
Both Wightlink’s and Red Funnel’s foot passenger and vehicle ferry services are running to timetable.
However, conditions are set to deteriorate as the day progresses, which could lead to delays or cancellations.
