A recovery operation is currently being undertaken in Southampton Water this evening (Thursday) after a large container ship broke down.
MOL Treasure, a container from Panama, got stuck after lunch today and has been stranded in the busy body of water since.
Currently sitting between Fawley refinery and Hamble Point, the ship isn’t causing any delays to cross-Solent travel operator Red Funnel.
Around 4 tugboats are being used to guide and manoeuvre the stricken vessel.
