Around 150 runners from across the Island, UK and even Hawaii gathered at the weekend for the 11th Great North South Run, hosted by Vectis Lunatics Full Moon hash.
Participants gathered at Egypt Point to get their shirts (which are a different colour every year) and to start the yearly run, which is laid out with traditional hashing chalk and sawdust markers along trail, road and via the inaugural regular pub stops.
Making their way across the Island to St Catherine’s Lighthouse, there was much laughter and chatter and, in true hash style, – the odd tipple.
Grand Master Aaron McGrath (Sweater) said:
“Another successful event, which couldn’t take place without the hares, support drivers and check-in crews all of which are members of Vectis Lunatics Full Moon and Isle of Wight Hash House Harriers, and with extra support by Southern Vectis buses for those that need a rest in-between stops”.

IWH3 meets at 11:00 every Sunday. VLFMH3 meets at 19:00 on a Wednesday nearest full moon.
