A total of 1,215 people were out of work on the Isle of Wight during July, figures from the Office for National Statistics have revealed.
Compared to July 2015, 4 more people were claiming the unemployment benefit Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) last month, but figures show a fall of 30 claimants of JSA compared to June this year.
The latest figures show that 1.5% of the Island’s working age population aged between 16-64 are claiming JSA, 0.3% less than the UK average.
