UPDATED: Two boats have run aground off Ryde this evening (Sunday), prompting local Coastguards to respond to the area.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team are in attendance at Ryde Harbour as they observe two boats which have struck a sand bank whilst exiting the harbour together.
No one is thought to have been injured in the incident, which occurred at around 17:15.
Coastguard officers are awaiting for the tide to drop further before walking out to the vessels to assess the situation.
UPDATE @ 18:30: Bembridge Coastguard Rescue team have now been stood down from the incident and re-tasked to Bembridge Lifeboat Station following the discovery of a body off Sandown.
