A total of 100 Winter Survival Kits are being rolled out across the Isle of Wight to support those facing homelessness this winter, thanks to a new initiative by Mindset Bros.
Each kit includes more than 20 essential items such as beanies, scarves, gloves, hygiene products, first aid kits and mini torches. The aim is to provide warmth, safety and dignity during the coldest months of the year.
The kits will be distributed in partnership with organisations working directly with vulnerable individuals. Two central locations will hold and manage distribution to ensure items reach those most in need.
This initiative has been launched as temperatures fall and the festive season approaches – a time of heightened risk for anyone without secure accommodation.
Ross Taylor, Founder of Mindset Bros, has said:
“These survival kits are about more than supplies – they’re about dignity, warmth, and reminding people that they haven’t been forgotten. Winter can be brutal, and even small items can have a huge impact on someone’s wellbeing.”
The project has been made possible thanks to community support and generous contributions.

Mindset Bros have extended their thanks to:
- Milford Del, whose donation funded a significant portion of the items
- Fundraising Ambassadors Richard Fox and Charlie Harris, whose efforts were instrumental
- Every individual and business that donated, supported or shared the project
Thanks to these collective efforts, 100 people across the Isle of Wight will now receive vital supplies this winter.
Mindset Bros continue their wider mission to support men’s mental health, strengthen community ties, and ensure vulnerable individuals feel seen and supported. The organisation has reminded the public that homelessness is not just a winter issue, but a year-round concern.

So disgusted with the council that this is the level of support that is needed. PROVIDE SOCIAL HOUSING! ITS NOT AS IF WE DONT PAY FOR IT THROUGH COUNCIL TAX! WE SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED. We don’t even have an asylum seekers problem here so we can’t blame them so there’s no excuse for this!
