Isle of Wight craftsman Billy White is celebrating a decade in business as his specialist upholstery firm, 1st Class Covers, marks its 10th anniversary on 1st September.
Billy founded the business in 2016 and has remained at its helm throughout the past decade, building up a customer base on the Isle of Wight and beyond.
Over the past 10 years, Billy has worked on hundreds of projects ranging from everyday vehicle repairs and classic car interiors to yacht seating, boat covers, motorbike seats and domestic furniture.
The business has developed around individually crafted work, with projects made specifically for each customer rather than using mass-produced kits.
Its work has included small repairs and complete retrims alongside bespoke automotive and marine upholstery projects.
Billy says his approach throughout the past decade has been to create products that fit properly, last well and remain personal to each customer.
Reflecting on reaching the milestone, Billy White, founder of 1st Class Covers, has said:
“Reaching 10 years in business is a proud moment. I’ve worked on hundreds of different projects over the years, and every one has been different.
“I’m grateful to every customer who has trusted me with their car, boat, bike, furniture or bespoke cover project. The support over the past decade has meant a lot, and I’m looking forward to continuing to do what we do best.”
