Wightlink Ferries are now sponsoring up and coming Isle of Wight darts player Keegan Brown as he competes in top level competitions around the country.
Based in Newport, and known as the Needle because of his calmness under pressure, Keegan is regarded as one of the world’s most promising young darts players. He has already clinched a World Champion title on the Youth Tour in 2014 in front of more than 10,000 excited fans at London’s O2 Arena. The 23-year-old practises up to 4 hours a day in addition to taking part in tournaments around the country.
Keegan said:
“I’m delighted Wightlink is supporting me in my career. I travel extensively to compete and frequently cross the Solent with the ferry company. It’s good to know they will be backing me as I aim for the heights.”
Wightlink’s Commercial Director Clive Tilley added:
“As Keegan has already shown so much commitment to his sport, we are pleased to help him as he competes with the world’s top players.
“We hope to get involved in encouraging promoters to bring top level darts tournaments to the Island so fans can see Keegan in action on his home turf.”
