A dedicated Isle of Wight carer has been celebrated by colleagues, residents and their loved ones after clocking up an impressive 30 years of continuous service at a Newport care home.
Ali, who works at Vecta House Care Home, was treated to a special celebration to recognise 3 decades spent supporting residents at the home.
During her 30-year career, Ali has worked across several areas at Vecta House, including night care and activity coordination.
However, providing direct personal care has remained her main passion, and she continues to work as part of the home’s day-to-day care team.
Balloons and banners decorated the home for the milestone celebration, with refreshments and prosecco also provided.
Faye Parker, General Manager at Vecta House, presented Ali with gifts and thanked her for her longstanding service and the impact she has made on residents over the years.
Faye has said:
“Ali’s dedication to our residents over 30 years is truly exceptional.
“Her passion for care has never wavered, and she remains an incredible source of comfort, support, and continuity for everyone here at Vecta House. We are exceptionally proud to celebrate this moment with her.”
Vecta House, which is run by Barchester Healthcare, provides residential, nursing and dementia care in Newport.
