More than £400 worth of tools have been stolen from ITS Tools in Newport, with the suspected thief caught on CCTV.
The theft occurred at the Newport store on Riverway Industrial Estate at around 14:00 yesterday afternoon (Friday).
CCTV footage clearly shows a man taking a number of tools and placing them into a rucksack, as well as concealing a DeWalt battery inside his jacket pocket.
The total value of the items stolen is believed to be in excess of £400.
The incident has been reported to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, with ITS Tools currently awaiting a response from Police.
Following the incident, the business has issued a warning to other local retailers, urging them to remain vigilant and review their CCTV and security arrangements where appropriate.
A spokesperson for ITS Tools has said:
“If you have any information that may assist the police, please report it through the appropriate channels rather than approaching or confronting anyone yourself”.
