The Wightlink Warriors have this week welcomed another Andy to the team in the form of Andy Perring, who has joined the operations team and is to be the chief mechanic for the speedway school, My First Skid.
Andy, who is the joint owner of ‘Back on Track’ said:
“I have known Barry for some years and have already agreed a sponsorship package for the Warriors in 2016. However, having got more involved with the club and spending time with Martin and the other members of the team, I felt it was just a natural step to take on my new roles with the club.
“I am extremely proud of the machines we have in prepared for My First Skid and hope to be able to announce other important steps in building the school soon. We cannot wait to welcome riders with their own kit and those who want to try speedway at Smallbrook.”
Commercial Director of the Warriors, Barry Bishop said:
“It’s great to have Andy onboard with the Warriors and My First Skid. Andy has a vast amount of knowledge of speedway bike engineering and motorcycles in general, and he has already been very active preparing the school machines ready for 2016. Both he and partner Helen have been to Smallbrook and have helped with track repairs on our working weekends which has really helped move our project along.
“Welcome to the Warriors Andy and Helen”.
Last week the Warriors welcomed Andy Hague to the team.
