A long-running Isle of Wight social group with a passion for the 1940s era has donated £500 to local men’s support organisation Mindset Bros.
The donation was presented by Sylvia and Alan Williams, founders of Vectis Vintage 40, a group they established more than 23 years ago.
Vectis 40s Vintage has brought together people from across the Isle of Wight through a shared interest in 1940s culture, hosting social events and supporting charitable causes over the past 2 decades.
The group celebrates the spirit of the wartime era, including themes of resilience, unity and the well-known phrase ‘make do and mend’, while continuing to encourage community connections today.
Mindset Bros says the £500 contribution will help support its ongoing work creating safe spaces, building friendships and supporting men within the local community.
A spokesperson for Mindset Bros has said:
“Support like this helps us continue what we do, creating safe spaces, building connections, and supporting men across our community.
“Sylvia and Alan, thank you for everything you’ve built over the past 2 decades and for your kindness and generosity tonight. It truly means a lot.”
The latest episode of the Mindset Bros Unfiltered podcast, was released last night.
