brook10vectisrcc2The Brook 10 mile TT, a new course with a testing uphill finish, got the 2014 VRCC Time Trial season off to a cracking start on Saturday.

With 26 riders and near perfect conditions the scene was set for an impressive days racing with James Brett’s (LCM Systems/Wightlink RT) overall winning time of 22minutes 30seconds, James Brett’s (LCM Systems/Wightlink RT) 23minutes 10seconds and Matt Harris’s (A3CRG) time of 23minutes 30seconds, the course and conditions did not disappoint.

The fastest VRCC riders on the day were Steven Haggerty (8th) in a time of 25minutes 09seconds with Marcus Attrill ((10th) finishing just behind him in 25minutes 49seconds. The best of the ladies on the day were Faye Faber (15th) 27minutes 01seconds and Mary Norman of Wight Tri finishing 21st overall in 31minutes 11seconds. Maria Stevenson was the first VRCC lady home In a time of 31minutes 49seconds.
