Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge spokeswoman, has said:
“With nearly 19 million customers annually staying at our 580 UK Travelodge hotels, including our hotels in Isle of Wight for thousands of different reasons, we do get a range of interesting items left behind. During 2022, this included vintage Punch and Judy puppets, a toupee, a box of Platinum Jubilee crown bunting and table runners and a rainforest terrarium.”
“Interestingly the 2022 lost and found audit also revealed that we are a nation striving for a healthy lifestyle as we have seen a significant rise in smart watches being left behind in our Travelodge hotels during the last 12 months.
“When it comes to why so many of our customers forget their treasured items, it’s basically due to us all being time poor, juggling multiple tasks and being in a hurry to get from A to B. In the rush, valuable possessions are easily forgotten.”

You would have thought that someone would have noticed that their hair had gone missing?
Hair today, gone tomorrow!
Where do you even hear this? I work at Newport and none of these items have been left in the 4 years I’ve worked there! Clearly got nothing better to do
Sophie it was a news article, they were talking about the hotels we have in London. So as per usual eco jumped on the band wagon with there version
Crikey. Who leaves 5 Jeraboams of LP Rose behind. They’re about £400 a bottle.
I tried to smuggle Harry Styles out of my room while staying at Ryde Travelodge, but I had the piss taken out of me by punters in the Crown Hotel pub.
