There were over 400 competitors at the event from all over the country and also fighters from Ireland, Holland, Sweden, Spain and Italy, including current European and World Champions.
As well as enjoying some great action during the day of a very high standard, the Isle of Wight Club came back with 3 trophies. Angus Tapp fought exceptionally well and won the Black Belt Middleweight Men’s Sparring category. He also performed well in the patterns category and came away with a Bronze in that too.
The club’s Chief Instructor, Pete Scotcher, won gold in the 4th Dan and above Men’s patterns category and was very pleased that the club came away with 2 of the top titles at the event.
The club is also sending 4 competitors to the LTSI British Championships next month. The club is still expanding with more venues and classes being opened soon.
