Spectators are being allowed to return to Ryde Arena this coming weekend as the building has now been declared safe for members of the public.
Ryde Arena Ltd. announced through their Facebook page yesterday (Monday) that spectators will be allowed to watch the Wightlink Raiders hockey matches from this weekend, just in time for two home matches.
The ice rink, formally Planet Ice, was damaged by adverse weather back in November and has been closed since.
The Wightlink Raiders face off against the Oxford City Stars on Saturday (18:00 face off) and then the Bracknell Hornets on Sunday (17:30 face off to be confirmed).
Work is continuing to rebuild and refit the ice rink, which was saved from closure.
