Another sell-out Isle of Wight Festival has drawn to a close after 4 days of music, sunshine and unforgettable moments, with Seaclose Park once again helping launch the UK’s festival summer.
From the moment gates opened on Thursday, festival goers were treated to near-perfect conditions, with blue skies dominating throughout the weekend and no rain to disrupt proceedings. Temperatures rose steadily each day, culminating in a scorching Sunday that saw thousands make the most of the glorious weather as the Isle of Wight Festival came to an end.
Thursday’s opening day immediately set the tone for the weekend, with eager crowds pouring onto the site as Joel Corry, Maximo Park, Hot Dub Time Machine and the ever-popular Elvana got the party started.

The Elvis-fronted Nirvana tribute act brought their unique blend of rock and comedy to Seaclose, while Hot Dub Time Machine delivered huge singalongs with a set packed full of crowd favourites. Indie legends Maximo Park also proved a hit before Joel Corry brought high energy to the Big Top to round off the opening night.
Friday saw the first of the Main Stage headliners as Lewis Capaldi made his return to UK festivals. The Scottish singer-songwriter was greeted by huge crowds and told fans he hopes to release a new album before returning again as soon as possible.

Elsewhere, former Little Mix star Perrie impressed in the Big Top just days after getting married, while Tom Grennan delivered another barnstorming performance. Wet Leg, Two Door Cinema Club, Ash, Alessi Rose and Chloe Qisha all featured on a packed bill.
Festival favourite Denise van Outen also returned to the Island, describing the Isle of Wight Festival as her favourite event of the year and praising its family atmosphere and consistently good weather.

Saturday brought another huge day of music, with Calvin Harris delivering a euphoric headline performance featuring a string of chart-topping hits – and fireworks aplenty.
Earlier in the day, Teddy Swims showcased his powerhouse vocals, while Rita Ora soaked up the sunshine and Rick Astley delighted fans with a mix of classic hits and newer material. 90s boyband Five sparked huge nostalgia among revellers, while the Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter brought their trademark energy to a packed Big Top.
One of the most anticipated performances of the weekend came from Anastacia. However, despite attracting a sizeable crowd, her set failed to quite hit the heights many had hoped for.

Sunday saw temperatures climb even higher as crowds packed Seaclose Park for the final day of the event. The Cure brought the weekend to a close, while performances from The Kooks, The Last Dinner Party, David Gray and Shed Seven kept crowds entertained throughout the day.
Although Sunday’s line-up prompted mixed reactions among some festival goers in the lead-up to the event, the scorching weather and relaxed atmosphere ensured the weekend finished on a high.
Among the standout performances of the entire weekend was that of local heroes Level 42. The Isle of Wight favourites received a tremendous reception from home crowds and delivered a set that many fans will remember as one of the highlights of Festival 2026.

Across the weekend, more than 400 acts performed across the various stages, attracting visitors from across the UK and beyond. Families, groups of friends and music lovers of all ages descended on Newport, creating the unique atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Isle of Wight Festival.
With Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris, Teddy Swims, Tom Grennan and many more among those taking to the stage, the 2026 edition delivered plenty of memorable moments both on and off stage.
Wightlink played a key role in supporting the event, putting on an additional 86 sailings to meet increased demand. Around 3,000 pieces of infrastructure and 30 fairground loads were also transported to the Isle of Wight to help bring the festival site to life.
Katy Taylor, Chief Executive at Wightlink, has said:
“The Isle of Wight Festival is one of the highlights of our year and we are proud to play our part in bringing people together for such an iconic event.
“There has been a real buzz across our routes as the Island welcomed thousands of visitors for the weekend, with entertainment on board and at ports adding to the festival feel.”
As another successful festival comes to an end, attention will soon turn to 2027 and the question every festival fan is already asking – who will be heading to Seaclose Park next year?
Tickets are expected to go on sale very, very soon…
