Sponsors, supporters and helpers of Ryde Rowing Club were entertained at an informal gathering at their Clubhouse on Friday evening to thank them for their support during the last year.
After a welcome and thanks from Club Captain Peter Allsopp, and a short presentation on the clubs activities and successes in 2013 – which included South Coast Championship wins for the Men’s Coastal Junior Four and Boys J14 Coxed Quad and a Hants & Dorset ARA Championship for the Men’s Coastal Junior Four – a presentation was made to a Dani Johnson, the Central Funding Coordinator for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice representing Kissy Puppy – the Sophie Rolf Fund.
Following various fund raising activities – the club was able to hand over a cheque for over £300 to this very worthwhile local cause.
