As the Isle of Wight Festival gets underway for 2021, the Red Arrows are set to arrive in the Island’s skies later tonight – but where exactly will they be flying?
The flight plan for the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team’s appearance has now been revealed and there are several locations across the Island that you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the iconic red jets.
Leaving Bournemouth Airport at 16:51, the ‘Arrows will fly across the Solent to The Needles before zig-zagging across the sea back to Brockenhurst before heading across the West Wight to Seaclose Park.
Those in Sandown and St Catherine’s may be able to catch a glimpse of the Red Arrows following their display at the Festival as they prepare to make their exit back to Bournemouth.
The timings are as follows:
✈ 16:51 – Leave Bournemouth
✈ 16:53 – Fly south of Bournemouth
✈ 16:55 – Fly over The Needles
✈ 16:57 – Fly northwest of New Milton
✈ 16:58 – Fly close to Brockenhurst
✈ 16:59 – Fly east of Lymington
🎪 17:00 – Isle of Wight Festival/Newport display
✈ 17:23 – Fly close to Sandown
✈ 17:25 – Fly over St Catherine’s Point
✈ 17:30 – Return to Bournemouth
