A power outage is affecting homes and businesses in Shanklin this afternoon (Saturday).
Around 10 postcodes in the area are experiencing issues including properties and business establishments on Palmerston Road, Regent Street, North Road and on the Esplanade.
The outage was logged at 13:12 and Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks have sent an engineer to the area.

UPDATE @ 14:25 – An engineer is now on site and SSEN hope that the issue will be fixed by 18:30.
I personally think utility workers should wear capes there out in all weathers to keep everything working well done ladies/gentlemen
