Shanklin produced a clinical display to overcome Osborne Coburg at Victoria Rec in Division 1 on Saturday (21st March).
Coburg started brightly and saw plenty of early possession, but it was the visitors who struck first when Lewis Parsons calmly slotted home in a 1-on-1 situation (0-1).
Shanklin soon doubled their advantage in similar fashion, Parsons again the scorer as he rounded the goalkeeper before finishing confidently (0-2).
The visitors added a third before the break when a goalmouth scramble fell kindly to Josh Field, who blasted home from close range (0-3).
Half Time: Osborne Coburg 0-3 Shanklin

Shanklin continued their momentum after the restart, with Parsons completing his hat-trick to extend the lead (0-4).
Prolific forward Rory Day then added his name to the scoresheet with a composed finish (0-5).
Coburg responded well in the closing stages and began to pose a genuine attacking threat. Their efforts were rewarded when Jason Pengelly slotted home (1-5).
They grabbed a second soon after, Elliot Apter tapping in from close range to reduce the deficit further (2-5).
This latest meeting between the sides came just 2 weeks after Shanklin recorded a 14-goal victory over Coburg at the County Ground.

HIGH PARK HIT FOUR TO SECURE DIVISION 1 STATUS

High Park overcame a depleted squad to produce an impressive victory over Brading Town at home this afternoon.
Forced to start with the bare 11 after 2 late withdrawals, High Park showed no signs of disruption and began the game strongly.
They took the lead through Harry Bell, who unleashed a stunning 30-yard strike that flew into the top corner (1-0).
The contest remained evenly balanced with end-to-end football, and Brading drew level through Aaron Bennett after an offside decision was controversially overruled (1-1).
Half Time: High Park 1-1 Brading Town
High Park came out with renewed intent in the second half and quickly regained the lead when Harry Taylor fired home an unstoppable volley from outside the box (2-1).
Just minutes later, the advantage was extended as Scott Parker cut inside and slotted into the bottom corner (3-1).
The victory was sealed with 10 minutes remaining when Kyle Killroy rose to head home High Park’s fourth goal (4-1), confirming both the win and their place in Division 1.
