Island Line services the rest of today (Tuesday) have been cancelled as a result of signalling issues.
As a result, no services will run between Shanklin and Ryde until tomorrow at the earliest.
The disruption will cause problems for those heading home from school and work.
Services on the line were already reduced today as a result of staffing issues.
Island Line apologises for the inconvenience caused.

At what point exactly does an apology (especially an insincere one like this) become no longer appropriate or acceptable.
The train service has turned into a joke since it was “improved” to the point where it’s challenging the floating bridge for the title of most unreliable service on the island.
Apologies won’t get me to and from work, though we are getting eoung of them these days to fill a hot air balloon.
So in the last seven days we’ve had ice on the track (twice), shortage of staff and signalling issues. Someone needs to get a grip.
We do not need these trains. Close all the stations and build affordable houses on the stations
Another huge waste of ,£27million,old 80yr old train was more reliable and often most reliable to timetable than any other Train in Britain. Like floating bridge, someone making these decisions obviously is getting a huge brown envelope but not improving the service.
Yesterday it was staffing issues, today its signalling, anyone wish to guess what tomorrows or thursdays feeble excuse will be.
Leafs on the tracks
Is this an early April fools joke? Except non of us are fools too believe all these pathetic bs excuses!
What signalling is needed for one train going backwards and forwards to Ryde?
The Steam Train line runs a more efficient service than Island Line get them to run it!
Are, by any chance, Island Trains and the Floating Bridge related?
I think we should be told.
Here’s an idea…
