The Island’s biggest indoor play frame is about to get bigger and cooler, with 2 new levels being added at JR Zone in Newport in time to chill out and cool off this Summer.
Custom-designed for JR Zone, the new Arctic Blast area will transform the current play frame, taking it from 3 to 5 levels and will incorporate a range of Arctic themed areas to excite and challenge young explorers.
Children will be able to tumble down The Avalanche, tackle the Ice Wall climb or brave the perilous Glacier Bridge with its perspex floor overlooking the rest of the play frame. Motion detecting downdraft fans will add to the experience to create a blustery blizzard whilst the Frozen Ravine creates the illusion of an endless drop using state of the art LED lights.
Chief Executive, Peter Tomlinson said:
“We can’t wait to unveil this new Arctic Blast experience. It’s been bespoke designed for JR Zone and is completely unique on the Island.
“This will be our second significant investment into the play frame following the HiZone which we opened in 2014.
“Adding two levels means there’s lots more for the kids to enjoy and we’re really looking forward to inviting our first guests to try it out.”
Arctic Blast will comprise 7 new features in total; Icicle Dash will take you through a passage with frozen stalactites coming from the ceiling and the Ice Cube is an impressive clear perspex box that will be the highest point of the whole frame, giving a great view.
JR Zone will be closed from Monday 27th June for the frosty new frame to be added and the grand opening will take place on Saturday 2nd July.
